The soft grey washes used on the water and along the horizon help to provide depth to this scenery.  Meanwhile, the absence of colors and the vast stretch of negative space provide dream-like quality. :+fav: :)

hats off to you maam. you are very awesome. ive always been curious about chinese ink. do you paint with it the same way you paint with watercolor? whats the difference?

the above net will give you a rough idea of the chinese ink painting method. it's quite different from the western watercolor. :)
