the exam season is finishing soon. my students won't want to see me for the time being so i have plenty of time on hand now to do extra painting :evillaugh:

this portrait is for ~keesiao, who is a crazy fan of Gackt, the popular japanese rockstar.

the bg is done with pencil and i love the nostalgic-old-paper look of the scan. Gackt was painted from scratch with photoshop 7.0.

spend doubly as much time and energy to your backgrounds as you would do on your main characters.
you are already very skilful and i believe you can do good backgrounds too.
