"From the northern ranges came a dark menace. Prowling through the depths of the night, it secreted unsuspecting daughters and wives every lunar eclipse. Efforts were made to end its malice, to no avail. With heavy hearts, the town of Greenstone wails for the lost women and shut its feeble gates every night to thwart the creature’s attempts. But even the boldest guardsman could not suppress a shiver from its dark name: Ctamph.

Gracia Grattel was schooled in poetry and sweet music in the northern capital of Astervale. Spring saw her returning to Greenstone for a season long vacation with her father – Mayor Grattel. But in her scholarly retreat, she had not heard tidings of the wild creature roaming the lands, and before long, she found herself looking into Ctamph’s deep emerald eyes. And falling in love with them.

A summer that was unexpected. A summer that could not be forgotten. A summer that forged the fragile hearts that was soon to be broken."
