"The last time she saw him --
standing, as always, on the precarious porch,
the wood distorting
more than she'd noticed before, he said
I'm not good at this
and switched the light on
and off because he liked to watch the moths
fly towards him
ah, by copic color markers...

copic is just one of the brand, you can try to find its equivalent by some other manufacturers: artwin, marvy, posca, zig, nouvel, maxon, etc.
I'm not a visual artist. The most I draw lately are little piggies for my girlfriend, because she thinks they're cute and they make her laugh. I can't give you more than praise, but don't think it's mindless: I simply cannot criticise this. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate it, though. You don't have to be a writer to appreciate writing. The same goes here.
Two things caught my eye immediately: the perspective and the (words have been escaping me lately, so I can't think of the proper term: ) pattern built into the front of the structure. The latter especially, it has a "wow" factor for me, and my eyes are drawn to it each time I look at the picture. It has a hypnotic quality when I look at each of the "strands". It looks like a cobweb.
As always, I really like your borders. The colours drained away roughly at the edges gives it a "real painting" feeling that I look for now.
Was this perspective difficult?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
