hi there i come in from #Realm-of-Fantasy's critique request folder. i hope my comments could help.
i must say i love the overall ambiance and feel of the picture. the setting is very relaxing and the idea of having transparent floor with fishes swimming underneath is cool. (pun intended) i myself will really embrace the idea of staying in such a house.
the lighting from the door that pours on the girl, as well as the pot of red ink and brush washer is realistic and accurately depicted. the shadows are charming and really this is one major credit of the whole artwork.
if there is improvement that can be done on this picture, i would say it is the texture of the wood. some weathering and irregularities of the grains would greatly enhance the believability of this house.
the japanese sliding door is sealed with translucent paper. there will be some faint shadows of the objects behind the door (for example, leaves and branches, railing, eaves). [link] adding some of these elements might help to improve the feel of the setting even more.
also the photo of garden as background, even though processed to look like painted, is still too real to fit your general painting style. though that will involves a lot of work it is good to paint from scratch with the photo as reference.
in conclusion the plus of this painting more than minus and i appreciate the amount of hard work put into the little details and the thought/feelings that is lovingly injected into the image.
