the japanese characters on the painting: go gatsu ni, shiki to jinsei wo utau, meaning: serenading for life and seasons in the month of may.
chinese calligraphy brushwork, minimal coloring and texturing with photoshop 7.0.
my signature as it appears in the style of chinese ink stamp, for the usual SS sign i used spoils the oriental feel of the painting.
